From up close this creature may look like a snake, but it is a lizard. What I noticed about this photograph was how complex the skin is. It was a beautiful day outside yesterday. The weather was warm but not hot, and I found this dragonfly resting in the garden. He remained still for over 30 minutes. Thankfully, I had my camera ready to capture some lovely closeups. Family: Odonata (Libellula croceipennis)
