Welcome to Southern Post Journal (SouthernPost.net). I’m Jacqueline D’Elia and this blog chronicles my personal journey in gardening. I live in Houston Texas (Zone 9a) where heat and insects are especially challenging. I am an organic gardener, not because it is “in”, but because it makes sense and it’s the right thing to do. (If you’ve seen the movie Mindwalk, you understand.) I love clays pots, fall weather and water lilies. Join me as I share my personal experience in converting my urban space into a livable and sustainable garden. I’ve built three raised beds and am grow veggies in my three season garden.

I am the owner of Olive Barn, an eco-friendly garden home store  and the author of Growing Green + Living It™ Sustainable Living blog. You can also find me blogging on my Houston Chronicle’s Blog Boxed Dirt.

This blog runs on a self-hosted version of WordPress using the Thesis Theme created by Chris Pearson. Template design inspired by Pearsonified.com

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you’ll say hello and leave a comment.
