Monarch Butterfly Emerges: See Video

After 6 weeks in it’s pupa stage and during a very cold January….this Monarch butterfly emerged today at 1:31pm. Fortunately, I had my video cam ready to film the big event.

Somehow I missed this whole wonderful journey… until now. I just read all your previous posts about this. Absolutely fascinating. I look forward to your next update. I never cease to be amazed at the many wonders of nature.

Thank you. It was wonderful to watch. Now I wish he would start feeding….. I placed him on a gerber daisy flower inside but he is still just resting. Maybe he’ll wake up today and get hungry. He has not eaten since January 3, 2011.
